Creamy garlic soup
Sauce with a bite

Ingredients:
2 spoonfuls | butter | |
2 spoonfuls | olive oil | |
2 | onion | |
3 bulbs | garlic | |
1,5 l | chicken broth | |
250 ml | whipping cream | |
1 | bay leaf | |
fresh parsley and thyme | ||
salt, pepper |
Instructions:
- Coarsely chop the onion and garlic ● Melt the butter with oil in a large saucepan, not over a very high heat ● Add the onion and garlic into the saucepan and fry it slowly ● The mixture in the saucepan should turn slightly golden, but not get burnt
- Pour over with broth, add salt to taste ● Add fresh herbs ● Do not chop the herbs, tie the whole stems up in a posy ● Finally, add bay leaf and cook for about 15 minutes
- Remove the herbs and bay leaf ● Leave the soup to cool and mix until smooth ● Season with pepper to taste and add cream for a smoother consistency
