General Requirements
The app is designed for mobile phones running Android 8.0 or later, and iOS 11.0 or later. It can also be used on tablets, but full compatibility is not guaranteed. For the best experience and full functionality, please carefully review the user manual before using the app.
Can the scale be used without the app?
Yes, the scale supports regular weighing and height measurement without the app. However, using the app unlocks additional features, including the ability to graphically track your child's growth and development.
Pairing the Scale
Pairing the scale with your device is straightforward via Bluetooth technology. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, then follow the steps in the AILINK app manual, or simply follow the intuitive prompts within the app.
Basic requirements for pairing:
- Active Bluetooth on your phone;
- The app must have Bluetooth permissions granted;
- Your phone should have the AILINK app installed;
- Launch the app and create a user account by following the on-screen instructions;
- Switch on the scale and proceed with the pairing.
After turning on the scale, it will broadcast a signal. If the AILINK app is active nearby, it will automatically detect the scale and offer to pair it.
If you encounter issues during pairing, please consider the following:
- Ensure the scale and phone are within close proximity (about 1-2 meters);
- Restart your phone, the app, and Bluetooth;
- Try pairing with a different phone to rule out phone-related issues;
- Create a new account to rule out problems with account setup.
Tips & Troubleshooting
The app isn't responding, even though it was working before. What should I do?
This could be due to recent changes on your phone (such as new app installations, system updates, etc.) or changes to your WIFI network. If the issue isn't resolved by undoing the recent changes, uninstall the RISUN app and reinstall it.
Additional tips:
- For accurate results, always place the scale on a flat and stable surface.
- Ensure the child is calm and still during weighing to prevent measurement errors.
- Regularly clean the scale's surface to maintain hygiene and accurate measurements.
- If weighing the child in clothes or diapers, be sure to subtract the approximate weight of the clothing and diaper for more precise results.
- If you are tracking multiple children, we recommend creating a separate profile for each child in the app to monitor their growth individually.
- Avoid using the scale near electronic devices that may interfere with the signal between the scale and the app.
- For safety reasons, always keep the scale out of your child's reach to prevent accidental tampering.
