General Requirements
Operating systems: The app only functions for devices using Android 8.0 or higher and iOS 11.0 or higher. To take full advantage and understand all the app features first read the user manual for the ETA SMART app carefully.
Wi-Fi network requirements
- 2.4 GHz only; the device cannot be paired with a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- WPA1 and WPA2 security (WPA2 recommended).
- The device can be paired with and used on only one Wi-Fi network (SSID) at a time.
- If you are unsure whether your router meets these requirements, contact your network administrator.
Can the device be used without the app?
Yes. The app serves only as a smart remote-control option. Even without the app, the appliance functions fully as intended.
Device Pairing
For first-time pairing on a Wi-Fi network, use the ETA SMART App User Manual, available in the downloads section. Always follow the step-by-step instructions shown in the ETA SMART app.
The app allows two pairing methods. We recommend enabling Bluetooth, which helps the app locate the appliance automatically and significantly speeds up the process.
Basic requirements:

An active home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with a strong signal

A smart device with the ETA SMART app installed

Switch on the humidifier, open the app, create a user account and follow the steps to complete pairing
How to ensure successful pairing:

Use only smart devices with supported Android/iOS versions
-
Use a high-quality Wi-Fi router with strong, stable coverage
-
Keep your smart device within approximately 2 metres of the humidifier during pairing.
Keep Bluetooth enabled (pairing can be done without Bluetooth, but Bluetooth makes the process easier and faster)
If pairing fails, check the following:

That the device is within Wi-Fi range

The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) must contain only characters a–z and 0–9 (Do NOT use diacritics or symbols such as _, -, *, @, + or spaces.) The same rules apply to the Wi-Fi password

If your router broadcasts both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, disable the 5 GHz network during pairing, (you can re-enable it afterwards).

Some phone apps (VPN, firewall, etc.) may interfere — disable them during pairing

Try pairing using a different phone to rule out device-related issues

Ensure both the Wi-Fi network and your phones OS meet the app’s requirements

Make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (SSID) you want to pair with
- If possible, try restarting the Wi-Fi router
Using the device with multiple users

Each user must create their own ETA SMART account

The user who pairs the device first will become the administrator and can share the device with others

The administrator has more control rights than shared users

Tips, Advice and Troubleshooting

Set the healthy target humidity level that you wish to maintain

Share the device with other household members via the ETA SMART app

For one-off or time-limited humidification, use the timer function

The appliance supports warm mist

The backlight display is easily adjustable in the app.
Troubleshooting
If the app freezes or becomes unresponsive
Restart the app. If the issue persists, restart your smart device as well.
The app is slow or has delayed responses
Check the strength and stability of your Wi-Fi signal. If the issue is not caused by an external failure (e.g., server outage), it is likely due to Wi-Fi instability or the performance of your phone.
The app stops responding even though it previously worked fine
This is likely due to changes made on your phone (e.g., new apps installed, system update) or changes in your Wi-Fi network. If you cannot identify or reverse the change, uninstall the ETA SMART app and reinstall it.
Ensure that the humidifier contains enough water. If the tank is empty, some app functions may appear unavailable or disabled.
